UNODC Myanmar team visits Putao

To assess the situation on the ground, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Myanmar team conducted a visit to Putao, Kachin State, spanning from December 16th to 20th, 2023.

During their comprehensive visit, the team meticulously inspected various key locations including the HOPE office situated in Mulashidi, HOPE Rehabilitation Center, and the football playground within the Zedam Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp in Putao.

Drug use rate among youths in Putao is high and Myaw Lint Yar (HOPE) is addressing this problem together with local leaders since 2020.
