HOPE’s 50-acre black cardamom plantation in Tofulo Valley, northwest of Putao, has begun to yield harvests this year.

Black cardamom—known for its rich aroma and value in both culinary and medicinal markets—has proven to be a promising crop for local farmers in Putao.



HOPE’s research and  initiative, launched 3 years ago, aimed to promote sustainable livelihoods and introduce high-value crops suitable for the region’s climate and terrain.
